| Ive always had an interest in Luftwaffe Field Divisions or SS "Nordland".....I love the last ditch late war tragic ethos as portrayed in "Der Untergang"

| Im the same LLoyd, late war FJ when nearly 60% of them had transferred from the Luftwaffe field divisions and kept the same uniform and insignia and leibstandarte late 44-45 when a lot of them had come from the kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe and heer divisions. I've always wanted to do one of the units from III SS Germanic corps on the Tannenberg line or Courland pocket.

| Thanks for bringing that kit at the weekend Mitch I found it fascinating. I don't know much about the German forces and their kit but your talk gave a great overview of some of the units. I have an active interest in all aspects of the war and sides so am keen to learn more. I think it's helpful for people in the group to be at hand to answer questions on the axis side from the public. Just for interest, as I collect helmets and headgear I do have a first pattern luftwaffe tropenhelm and a Heer M42 in my collection. | |

| Thanks! Glad you found it fascinating and enjoyed it, it was only a quick overview so I didn't go into too much detail about the kit. Would be interesting to see your Tropenhelm and m42 helmet!
